Well, jumping on the Wesley Whitson AC train yesterday was a very good decision! I knew we had a fatal issue with our system and my wife said "call the guy everyone in our neighborhood talks so highly about". We did and within a couple of hours, at most, the tech was here to confirm what I pretty much already knew .. I needed a new condensor! The diagnosis was made, the call to Wesley was made, he explained my options, educated me on newer parts available since my unit was a '09, the condensor was picked up before the close of business on a Friday afternoon and here we are relaxing in a cool house less than 24 hours later! What a well run operation and I can't say enough about how great the technician was that came to my house to install. Like my roofer, that I wouldn't use anyone else, my A/C guy is now set for as long as he does business. You can bet I will pass your name on to anyone who asks if I know an A/C guy!! Comments: The technical crew was very competent and courteous throughout the install. I would have rated this contractor as 5 stars but the condensate drain line was configured in a way that I could no longer install the access cover to my garage unit. It makes the area look "industrial" which was the purpose for the access cover in the first place. I am still getting used to the Amana Inverter units we ordered. They don't operate like a standard Het Pump which has been a source of frustration. In addition to the new Heat Pump Units, I also installed an in duct air scrubber/purifier. The 3rd party device specified the need for a separate pressure switch to automatically cycle the Air Scrubber as the Air Handler started and stopped. The Service Technician (Rob) worked with Amana for 2 days to find a way to use the Accessory features of the Heat Pump to cycle the Air Scrubber. Rob could have simply sold me the additional switch and walked away but he instead kept working at the problem until he found a really elegant solution. That was very impressive!

Comments: Every now and then, you hit the jackpot. My a/c was old and while still working, I was putting good money after bad in keeping it functional. It was time. After interviewing two larger companies and listening to their rediculous sales pitches complete with adding on additional discounts the more I hesitated, I realised I needed REAL people who cared about the customer and what he wanted, not what they wanted to sell. Luckily, I picked up the phone and was connected with the owner of the company, Wesley Whitson. He said he could be there the next morning and was. No hard sell, no overblown sales pitches, just an honest guy who understood what I wanted and agreed to quote me on that, not three different levels of increasingly unnecessary features and costs. The next day, the email arrived and I contracted with Mr. Whitson to do the job. He set it up for a specific time and, as promised , his techs were right on time, ready to go. Rob and Zach were just like the owner. Extremely professional, diligent in their work and customer oriented throughout. I know this is getting long but I need to emphasize the satisfaction I experienced dealing with this company. DO NOT hesitate to give them the opportunity to do your a/c work!

Comments: My AC was out for about 5 days. I called a company I had previously used, he came out and said I think its the motherboard and a low voltage short. The next morning he messaged me and said he was too busy to take on my AC. I called another company they came out within 30 mins of me calling. They spent 5 mins to tell me the thermostat was bad (it wasnâ t the thermostat because we had already changed it thinking that was the problem). I used the local city Facebook page and found that Mr Whitson had multiple people recommend him. I called and he answered right away. He said that he could send someone out later in the afternoon. After lunch someone came out and he spent time to diagnose my problem. After a couple of hours he figured out that it was the motherboard and the entire thermostat wire. Thankfully the motherboard was under warranty. The visit was more than I wanted to pay. But seeing how the other two companies didnâ t want to or didnâ t know how to diagnose the issue or be bothered with it. Thank you to Mr. Whitson and his company for taking the time to figure out the issue and fix it.

Comments: I selected Wesley Whitson AC Heating Services over two other AC Contractors. He made my choice very easy. He was very knowledgeable and honest, answered any questions I had, never rushed or made me feel that I was taking up too much of his time, and always returned my calls very promptly. His price was all inclusive at a significantly lower price than my other quotes for an identical system, and he did not try to add any unnecessary items to the job, in fact, he gave me very good reasons why some of the items I thought I wanted were not really necessary. I also really liked the fact that his quote included the EXACT model numbers of the equipment he would be installing ! I contacted Wes on a Friday afternoon to to schedule the job (a new Amana Heat Pump and Air Handler to replace my dying 17 year old system), and he was able to schedule the job for the next business day ! His crew (Kyle and Zack) showed up on time and as promised, on the following Monday, to install my new system ! I am very happy that I went with the Variable Speed system with Humidity Control and ComfortNet thermostat. Wes was right about the Humidity control keeping things comfortable. We used to set our old system at 73 deg...the new system is set at 77 deg and 55% humidity (as suggested by installer Kyle), and it feels very comfortable (nice and quiet too) ! After the installation was complete, Kyle gave a very good explanation on the operation and settings of the ComfortNet Thermostat. I am VERY happy with my new system !

Comments: This company is top notch. They did a two system retrofit in my home with 5 ton and 3 ton communicating Amana products. It started off with Wes the owner coming on a Saturday to have a look at the job and his recommendations and price. He really seemed like he knew what he was doing and was knowledgeable. Well it turned out to be true. The proposal was fair and he had the best price by far for this type of system. Then the actual install took place. The installers were prompt and the install was very clean looking. They were very careful in my house as they had to get one of the air handlers out and into the attic space on the second floor. When they were finished you wouldn't even know they were there, they left the place so clean. They showed me the work they had done and explained the thermostat settings to me. Overall I am 100% satisfied. Would highly recommend the Amana products and Wesley Whitson. The air conditioning itself is amazing as well. Quiet and comfortable.

The previous owners left everything in great shape, but being an overly cautious person, I decided to hire qualified technicians to inspect and provide feedback for each of our home’s systems. It is difficult to sort the wheat from the chaff from the outright scammers when it comes to choosing a new vendor, especially without the benefit of recommendations. I decided to use Home Advisor to create a baseline and read some reviews before interviewing a few HVAC companies and deciding. The owner, Wesley, called me within 15 minutes of me submitting the form to Home Advisor. He was polite, courteous, and informative in our introductory call, and was able to schedule our preventative maintenance tune up within 48 hours. I gave the technician, Rob, a rundown of our situation on the phone as he headed our way, explaining that I am a new homeowner but I am interested in learning the systems and was wondering if he would be ok with teaching me as he performed the tune-up. This ended up being the best part of the visit, because he FAR EXCEEDED my expectations. He was incredibly knowledgeable and eager to share what he knew. His advice will easily save me the cost of the annual tune-up over time. After thoroughly examining the air handler and giving it a clean bill of health, we squared up and the price of the service visit and parts were exactly as previously quoted and agreed, and totally reasonable. FPL is doing **pay to play** with contractors and the **rebate** is really just a discount by the contractor, nothing off your bill. My contractor turned not to be one of their **Preferred Installers** even though licensed by the state. Also, I got an 18 seer (best made) but FPL **rebate** is only for 16 or 17 seer. WHAT?

Comments: Wesley installed a new Amana five ton heat pump for me four years ago. He quoted the best price and did a great job on the installation. It's been efficient and reliable. The reason I am writing this review after four years is that today I noticed that the temperature was a bit high and I checked the thermostat. It had an error message on the thermostat and the heat pump shut down. It's 94 degrees outside today, a Sunday, and it was going to get very uncomfortable very quickly. I sent a text message to Wesley at 5:52PM and at 5:57PM he called me back. Wesley talked me through some trouble shooting steps and ended up having me re-boot the system to clear the trouble codes. The system restarted and quickly cooled the house. When you buy a heat pump you are looking from someone who will return a phone call within 5 minutes late on a Sunday afternoon and help you fix the problem yourself even though they made the sale four years ago. Wesley Whitson did that for me today.

After looking at the alternatives, we decided to have BOTH of our central AC systems replaced. They were obsolete and leaking. Monday morning Wes himself called me, I explained my situation and by 930 that morning Rob was at my door. After some checks and balances was conducted, Rob found a decent leak in my compressor unit. Everyone knows when youâ re A/C goes out means better get the check book out. Well, this couldnâ t be any further from the truth. This appeared to be a defect in the unit and some calls were made. This is my 3rd experience with Wesley Whitson and his team of professionals, on this project I needed air conditioning service because system was not able to cool the house. I called and left a voicemail at 7:00am on a Sunday, Wesley called me back in just 15 minutes, he came out and verified the issue, the following day ( Monday ) a service rep ROB arrived and troubleshot the problem, I needed a TXV valve. Wesley called within the hour with an estimate of repair & due to the cost being almost half the cost of a new ac unit, I elected to have a NEW 3 ton ac unit installed. The following day ( Tuesday ) Matt & Kyle arrived at 10:00am with the new unit. Comments: I am an engineer and a bit of a perfectionist. I put the request on Home Advisor mostly out of curiosity. Mr. Whitson called that evening (on a Sunday) to set up a review. Our existing air conditioner was older, barely able to cool despite several other "repairs" from other companies. Mr. Whitson arrived on time and was immediately impressive with his demeanor and overall quality of information. When we discussed reviews of systems, he was straightforward and concise. He said he would email a quote that day. I told him that I had to get at least 2 more quotes just to satisfy my fiduciary responsibility. He smiled warmly and told me he understood perfectly. So, the short version of the story is Mr. Whitson's quote was not only the best, but it included extras and that solid feeling of a good handshake. The system was installed rapidly, the techs arrived just after 9am and were done by 3pm. They were happy to answer my many questions. After they removed my existing unit, they cleaned, painted and sealed everything quite professionally. After the install, they ran through the operation of the new controller, making sure I was satisfied. Our 3,000 ft2 home is now very comfortable in this year's oppressive Florida heat and humidity. The Lake Mary building inspector just left with no problems at all. He said the install was well done and clean. What can I say? You can get other quotes but Wesley Whitson and his team will give the best price, best backup and a comforting ease of mind. Comments: In a world full of rip-off artist, it is so refreshing to till with a reputable company like Wesley Whitson AC and Heating service. I had them install a new central air conditioner in April of 2013 and was very pleased with the job they did. My two technicians were Rob and Matt and they spent that whole day installing my new unit. They were thorough and efficient not rushing the job, but also going as fast as they could consider how hot it was at the time. I could not recommend them loudly enough. You will not regret using this company I promise. Fast forward to this year. My blower motor went bad a couple of months ago and Wes has a man out there the next day to fix it. I believe his name was John. Well I know it was the blower motor because he diagnosed it and had to drive all the way to Orlando from Groveland in afternoon rush hour traffic to get the blower motor. Fixed it and was a happy camper. Well, 2 days ago walked in my house and bam, felt the heat and muggy air smack me in the face. I went over to the thermostat and realized something was wrong because it was 85 degrees and it was set for 78. So after trying to fiddle with it I realized it was out of my control and called Wes the next morning again he had someone out the very next day and low and behold it was my original installers Matt and Rob. They found the problem quickly and fixed it. It was a bad Schrader valve. Low Freon after fixing it house cooled down quickly. I can’t thank them enough and Wes. I’m just glad I have a ten-year warranty it has saved me at least $1100.00 dollars in parts. As they say Blank happens and you have to deal with it when it does. Thanks Rob, Matt, Wes and John for doing a job well done.

My AC died on a Wed eve and despite the time, I took a chance and called Wesley. To my surprise, Wesley answered and spent more time than I expected trying to help me with my AC problem over the phone. Unfortunately, we both arrived at the conclusion my 11-year old AC unit was finished. Wesley was more than willing to repair the unit, but it was not worth the expense. Wesley was able to put together a quote immediately and his installers were out on Friday morning (less than two days later) starting the install of my new Goodman unit. The installers (Rob & Matt) were extremely courteous and kept me in the loop through the entire installation. They were extremely efficient and knowledgeable and had the unit professionally installed in no time. They made sure every detail was covered and even took some steps I never expected. The Goodman unit Wesley quoted was everything I was hoping for. It is extremely quiet, looks very well made, and cools very effectively. My home was 81-F when they first turned the unit on (fortunately my old AC waited until Fall to die), but the new unit cooled it down in no time. Really impressed with how effective it is and how much cooler and drier the house feels. I never write reviews, but Wesley Whitson AC and his crew impressed me that much!

Comments: I need to start my review a couple of hours prior to Wesley showing up to my house and saving me a bundle..... Another company (Harrell Home Services) came out to my house to do an annual service. They offered a cheap introductory rate for the visit and I needed one this year - so I bit. They did the service and told me that My Freon was very low, that my evaporator was leaking and that my compressor was drawing very high amps. All bad news. Now my system is 17 years old so it could go any time but I maintain it and never had an issue. HHS presented me with fixes that ranged from $5K (to fix the system) up to $11K for a full top end replacement. To their credit they did not pressure me to buy ���today only special price.��� I then turned to HomeAdvisor (as I usually do for home repairs - good luck with them so far...) to get some additional bids for the job - put in my info and a bit later Wesley called me. I told him what happened and he offered to send one of his guys at NO charge just to verify that things were as bad as HHS told me. His guy came over and brought out an electronic leak detector, Freon gauge and an Amp meter ��� so I knew he was going to do a thorough job ��� even for free. When he opened my air handler he said it sure looked like my evaporator could be leaking. But he wanted to use the leak detector to be sure. After checking it on medium and high sensitivity ��� he declared that while it looked bad, it did not leak at all. Next he checked my Freon levels ��� if anything he said they were a bit high. He then checked the amp draw and after running both speeds of the compressor - said it was not high at all. He then checked the temp differential in the air handler to verify everything was working as well as the his equipment suggested it should. It passed with flying colors. He summed it up to me like this ���you may need an new system in a couple of years, a couple of months or a couple of days since it is an old system, and we would be happy to sell you one, but you don���t need one today. Everything that they told you was wrong with your system is not true. It took him about 3o minutes all told and again this was a free service call. Even after all this work, we was not going to charge me anything, I insisted that he let me pay him for a service call at least and he finally said OK. Best $75 I ever spent. These guys are a class act and you can trust them. Highly recommended!

Since this unit was 24 years old & original to the house, I wasn't even considering a repair situation. it needed to be replaced. Wesley gave me a quote for a unit that was the proper size for my home with a much higher efficiency rating than the old unit. We scheduled the install for a few days later. Comments: After several quotes from other vendors, I decided to go with this company primarily based on the reviews on this site and price quoted. The team got there around 10am and was done installing the entire AC unit by 3pm. They work diligently, and cleaned the entire area after everything was done. He called late evening after receiving his phone message from HA to let me know he could take care of our emergency situation early the next day! By 11:00 AM next day, he had quickly sourced the problem and had replaced a defective part.... Our original installer of the system could not provide an appointment until several days later! Kudo's to Wesley for personally taking calls on Father's Day weekend to allow his employees some much needed time off! This is the kind of service the general public desires, deserves, and demands.... but seldom gets when dealing with service needs. Comments: I needed to have my A/C serviced for its annual checkup. Nothing was wrong with it, and I wanted to make sure it stayed that way. I had previously not felt comfortable with the prior company that had installed and serviced the unit and so I was looking for a new standby to call when the A/C acts up. Wes himself called to followup on my request for what I know was less than a glamorous job. He personally scheduled my appointment and was very accommodating/flexible in scheduling the tech to come out when it was best for me. Home Advisor had me in contact with Wesley. Came out next day and gave me all options. After my research of his recommendation of Amama/Goodman 18 SEER 2 stage in and out, I found it was highly recommended for quality and price. He did too and put his reputation on it. Comments: I hired Wesley Whitson AC Heating Services after another A/C tech quoted my elderly parents a large sum of money to fix an A/C unit they had installed less than 3 years ago. I called Mr. Whitson and told them the story and they agreed to come by free of charge and look at the unit. They came by, performed a leak detection (normally over $100) and did not find a problem. I fully expected to be charged for the leak detection but Mr. Whiston was kind enough to not charge my parents. Comments: After our old Trane Central Air failed we needed a new system urgently. We at first contacted ARS Rescue Router referred through Home Depot. They gave us a quote for a 15 Seer Amana system for $8000. We found Wesley through HomeAdvisor. He quoted us a price over $2000 less for a 17/18 Seer 5 ton unit with variable speed air handler and 2 stage compressor complete with Computerized wireless Thermostat! Wes and his installers went out of their way to make sure we were happy. I give them my strongest recommendation. Incidentally I purchased a wireless internet access device, wireless outdoor sensor and wireless remote control for this system.
